At Paddle and Canoe, we adhere to all the regulations of corporate social responsibility for our team. Here's the lowdown on some of the rules that we follow in keeping with the regulatory guidelines. To ensure a safer, healthier, and happier workspace for all our employees, we:
Do not employ children
- Respecting the Labour Law of the Government of Maharashtra, neither we nor our suppliers, as well as suppliers or any divisions associated with us, employ children for work.
- Never force our employees to work extra for a penalty or debt repayment.
- Do not ask for any type of deposit before offering a position.
- Never retain employees to stay in the company after the end of the shift.
Our Selection Procedure
While selecting our staff, we do not:
- Keep minors.
- Believe in threatening or coercing our labourers.
- Enforce mandatory labour.
- Retain the original documents, such as an identification card or property-related papers, to give our personnel benefits like salary or other perks.
- Force to work for a company if someone decides to resign. However, they would give need to serve a notice beforehand.
Ensuring Safety and Health
We are a stickler for all the mandatory industrial and health safety rules. For example:
- It is compulsory for the staff to stay tidy and near.
- We have well-maintained and separate bathrooms for men and women.
- The employees have access to free and safe drinking water.
- We have a team who work to make the office premises clean and hygienic.
- Regular employees get the coverage of Employees State Insurance or ESI.
- Each of the divisions of the office maintains a first aid box.
- We organize annual health camps for a free check-ups for both regular and contractual employees.
- To get protection from high levels of noise in production places, the employees get earplugs.
- Also, the workforce of the packaging and cleaning department receives masks and gloves for protection against dust and dirt.
- Have safety alarms, emergency exit doors, fire extinguishers and fire alarms on every department and floor.
- Maintain an earthling system of electric connection.
- Keep conveyors to move materials.
